Can receive, but not send e-mail in Outlook 2002 (Error 0x8004210B)

If you are receiving an error similar to the following when trying to send e-mail using MS Outlook 2002 (receiving should be working fine), you may be dealing with a common Outlook 2002 bug.

Task 'mail.domainname.com - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004210B) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

You will need to visit the Microsoft web site at the following address

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827349

They have made available a fix for this issue. If you use it and still receive an error message, please contact Support for further assistance.
