Which WHMCS admin permissions are necessary for installing or troubleshooting?

When installing or troubleshooting modules on your behalf, WHMCS admin area access may be needed. For such cases, we will only request a WHMCS admin user that is assigned to a new role with the minimum required permissions to do so.

For debugging any of our addon modules, this will be as follows:

Addon Modules
Configure Addon Modules
View Activity Log
View Module Debug Log

For debugging any of our payment gateway modules, this will be as follows:

Configure Payment Gateways
View Gateway Log
View Activity Log

View Module Debug Log

All of our modules have their own "Debug Mode" setting as well. That will need to be enabled for the duration of the debugging process.

Other permissions may be requested on a case-by-case basis, but the above is the minimum and ensures that we will only have access to what we typically need.

Information on creating/managing admin users and roles in WHMCS can be found in their documentation at https://docs.whmcs.com/admins/admins/
